Change for Tatiana!! I'm hoping change will come sooner rather than later for this beautiful little girl. But to help her on her way I would like to ask that you save your change for the month of August. That is totally doable, don't ya think?? . You find change in cars, couches, on side walks, in the dryer, sometimes the washer or in my girls' case their dad's pockets. :) A little change can add up quickly, especially if several people are saving!! So here's what you do1.) Set aside a mason jar, a old coffee container, or whatever you have that can hold change, then let me know you want to help make a change with your change :) Just leave a comment here or on my facebook.
2.) When you find, see, come across change, stick it in the jar.
3.) On Sept 1st. (Saturday) I'll give you a shout out and remind you to tally your coins and donate what you have collected to Tatiana's fund.
Pretty easy right?? This is a great way to make a change for a sweet little girl.
I know how easy it is to get got up in your own crazy life and forget to do for others but I think it's so important to set an example and let your actions speak to your friends, family and children. It's not hard to make a difference and it really truly is the small things that matter. I'm learning this and it's hard to accept. I want to make such a HUGE difference and do amazing and great things. I think about all the awesome stuff I could be doing for others but never seem to find the time to do it. I know I should do more, be more and give more. It all seems overwhelming but it is indeed the LITTLE things that add up. The LITTLE things and the SIMPLE things. I think Mother Teresa said it best, she also maked this point several times over. It is an important lesson to learn, especially for me.
~Mother Teresa
“We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love.”
“If you can't feed a hundred people, then just feed one.”
“It is not the magnitude of our actions but the amount of love that is put into them that matters.”
“Do not think that love in order to be genuine has to
be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired. Be
faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies.”
“What we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But
if that drop was not in the ocean, I think the ocean would be less
because of that missing drop. I do not agree with the big way of doing
things.”
She understood what it takes to be an amazing person, to do right by people and to make a difference. So we all know we can't compare to Mother Teresa :) But we can do something little to make a difference for one little precious girl in an orphanage.
